Anthem may not have had quite the start that longtime Bioware fans were hoping for, but the game isn’t going down without a fight. With new content on the way, the multiplayer sci-fi shooter has started to find its audience and many players are powering through the existing content at a serious pace. Understandably, gamers who are spending tons of hours in the world of Anthem want to make sure their armor looks as good as possible.
By default, Javelin armor is going to be a little beat up. At the start of the game, players have access to two different wear states: Old or Dirty. As gamers might guess, armor in those states look like they’ve been through the ringer and seen some better days. Not to worry though, players who want that Javelin armor to shine have a clear path to unlocking the Standard, New, and Clean wear states.
MMO veterans won’t be surprised to hear that these options are locked behind a bit of a reputation grind. To unlock the three additional tiers of armor states, players will need to increase loyalty levels with the Freelancer Faction.
First off, players can earn loyalty levels the fastest by completing missions contracts and missions for the faction. Players who have their eyes set on that Clean unlock should strive to complete every mission available.
In addition to completing missions, players can also earn loyalty levels by chatting up Freelancer NPCs inside Fort Tarsis. Here is the full list of everyone to talk to:
That’s all there is to it. It will take some time, but it’s a pretty straightforward grind. Be sure to check back for additional Anthem guides, news, and updates in the coming weeks. Until then, good luck out there!
