In a Reddit post from February 15th, Respawn’s community manager Jay Frechette updated players on the status of their massively popular battle royale, Apex Legends. Addressing the issue of cheaters in the game, Respawn confirmed that over 16,000 cheaters have already been banned. Frechette caps the statement by saying, “Cheaters suck,” a simple sentiment we can all get behind.
Aside from assistance on how to report cheaters, the post acknowledges crashing issues and promises upcoming patches to address these complaints. It also provides steps on effectively reporting bugs and lays out a strategy for continued engagement with the community that will include:
- Daily posts of this kind beginning February 19th that will keep the community updated
- A dedicated spot for troubleshooting tips
- And more in the future
